Vertiports in the Nordics

A natural launch region for advanced air mobility

The Nordic region offers one of the most compelling environments in Europe for advanced air mobility. Major cities are often separated by waterways, mountain ranges, fjords and long coastal distances, making conventional ground transport comparatively slow, indirect and infrastructure-intensive.

This geography creates ideal conditions for a new, layered mobility network built around hybrid regional aircraft and electric VTOL operations.

Hybrid regional aircraft with optimal operating ranges of around 700 km can connect leading Nordic economic centres such as Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki, Copenhagen and Trondheim in well under one hour. These city pairs represent exactly the kind of routes where advanced air mobility can unlock major gains in speed, resilience and connectivity.

From such primary hubs, eVTOL aircraft can provide efficient onward distribution to surrounding cities, islands, remote industrial sites and coastal communities. The result is not simply a set of point-to-point routes, but the foundation of an integrated regional air mobility network spanning Scandinavia and the wider Baltic region.

For AAMG, the Nordics are therefore not only an interesting future market, but a strategically relevant region for early infrastructure development, partnership building and operational demonstration.
