Japan – Scalable Vertiport Infrastructure for a High-Density, High-Demand Market
Japan is one of the most promising regions for early Advanced Air Mobility, combining dense metropolitan areas, strong intercity travel flows and a supportive regulatory environment. AAMG is developing a nationwide vertiport network that builds on existing heliport infrastructure and aligns with Japan’s emerging standards for next-generation air mobility. Our local partnerships ensure coordinated development and seamless integration into the broader Asia-Pacific ecosystem.
In that context, the investment in the Japanese company Airmobility Inc. demonstrates the significance of the Japanese market for AAMG.
Tokyo Metropolitan Area
Tokyo’s high population density and more than 80 rooftop helipads offer a unique opportunity for rapid vertiport conversion. These sites will link major business districts, rail hubs and coastal destinations, enabling fast, predictable mobility across the region.

Haneda Airport
As one of the world’s busiest airports, Haneda is a natural anchor for early AAM operations, with transfer times to central Tokyo of just 5–7 minutes.
Osaka & Kansai Region
The wider Kansai area includes over 700 islands, many with limited transport access — making it ideally suited for regional vertiport deployment that supports communities, healthcare access and industrial connectivity.
