Boxtel, Netherlands – 16 January 2026
Ambitious Air Mobility Group (AAMG) today announced the opening of pre-registration for its Global Vertiport Design Competition, an international initiative inviting architects, engineers and interdisciplinary teams to develop practical, modular vertiport concepts for the real-world deployment of advanced air mobility.
The competition will officially launch in February 2026. From today, interested participants can already register their interest to receive detailed briefing materials, submission requirements and timelines ahead of the formal start.

The initial phase of the competition will focus on Europe, with a particular emphasis on Spain and the Costa del Sol. A major international airport such as Málaga, together with selected coastal destinations, will serve as reference cases. Additional regions are planned to be added over the course of the year.
The Vertiport Design Competition is intended to support future operations of Zuri and other aircraft within AAMG’s portfolio. Submissions are expected to prioritize deployment-ready solutions, scalability across different locations, and the integration of zero-emission energy systems. Rather than conceptual showcases, the competition explicitly targets infrastructure designs that can be implemented under real regulatory, spatial and operational constraints.
AAMG invites qualified teams and individual designers to pre-register via its website. Registered participants will receive early access to the full competition brief, technical reference material and key dates ahead of the official launch in February.
